It is rated 15 because it has some mild violence which may disturb some people in the audience , There are some fire armed involved and also some blood scene.

We wouldn’t want people under 15 to see this because they might get disturbed by the scenes this film involves.

· Warner Bros released the film on 22^nd February 2013

· It is a action adventure kind of film. It was going to do well because of the novels and books cloud atlas brought out.

· 15 Weeks before Warner bros’ rivals 20^th Century Fox pictures released Life of Pi. This is a Action/Drama/Fantasy Film. It was a remake of a book/novel.

· 14 Weeks after Cloud atlas was released Columbia Pictures (Another Competitor of Warners) released After Earth, Action Adventure, Mystery. Its release time meant that the bulk of the audience would have seen Cloud Atlas in the first 14 weeks of release and would now want to see something different.

Storyline

Everything is connected: an 1849 diary of an ocean voyage across the Pacific; letters from a composer to his friend; a thriller about a murder at a nuclear power plant; a farce about a publisher in a nursing home; a rebellious clone in futuristic Korea; and the tale of a tribe living in post-apocalyptic Hawaii, far in the future.

Rating

Cloud atlas is for people who are teenagers or just adult really isn’t really a film for young kids as there may find it boring. And out of 10 i would give cloud atlas a 6.6/10. Which most people have given it online.

The Events

There are a lot of cuts in most of the scene and some on the scenes have pan shots and also track shots, the one scene which i through was good was when his sitting on top on the cliff there use a track shot round him and there also use med shot to do it. Overall i think there use some very good camera work and have a lot going on in the film.

The Genre

The genre for this film but there are many other things it can be also it could be time travel advantage, this film has a mix of genre which is very good for people who are looking for a film with time travel or action in it maybe.

For the sub-genre it would be time travel as it shows it is.

And the Soundtrack for it is very good it makes it very depressing and there are a lot of emotion, some of the soundtrack are happy and exciting but some are very depressing and sad.

Cloud atlas has been rated a 15 by the BBFC. It has been given this because it contains contains strong language, once very strong, strong violence and sex.

This was given a 15A certificate which means it is only recommended for people over 15. Under 15’s can see it is accompanied by an adult.

Ethical

This film fits perfect for a rated 15, Because their is some violence in the film which is partly the reason why it is rated 15.

It is not suitable for people under aged 15 because there are some shooting scene in the film which might scare some people under the age of 15.
